A SILVER QUARTER REPEATING JACQUEMART VERGE OPENFACE POCKETWATCH
Unsigned, mid 19th Century
The frosted gilt fusee movement with bridgecock and verge escapement, repeating the quarters on two gongs by depressing the pendant, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, blue enamel surround surmounted by varicoloured gold jacquemarts apparently striking on two bells with decorative gold hands, in plain openface silvered case with ribbed band, the cuvette is inscribed Breguet à Paris No. 9140
