etching, 1631, first state (of two), before the additional shading between the fingers, with narrow margins on three sides, trimmed 7mm. inside the platemark at the lower sheet edge thereby lacking the monogram and date, the upper right corner margin tip made up, a short tear and a surface tear in the lower margin, the remains of old tape in places on the reverse
