woodcut, 1894, on wove paper, first state (of two), with the monogram in the block lower left, a very fine, black impression, signed in blue crayon, numbered '22', from the edition of about 50 (there were also a few unsigned impressions, and a total of 185 posthumous impressions), with margins, a deckle edge at the left and bottom, two tiny skilfully repaired tears at the lower right sheet corner, a diagonal crease at the upper left sheet corner, other minor defects in the margins and on the reverse
