'Epigram', a brown colt foaled in 1933, owned by Mr James Boase Rank, was by 'Son-in-Law' out of 'Flying Sally'. He was the winner of eight races, including the Goodwood and Doncaster Cups, the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Goodwood Stakes. He was later a stallion, but not particularly successful
