Shaped-circular and on four vine and scroll feet, with cast and pierced shell, scroll, trailing vine, snail and beetle border, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms beneath an Earl's coronet, marked on reverse, engraved with a scratch weight 135=7

The arms are those of Crichton quartering Dalrymple and another for William, 5th Earl of Dumfries, K.T. (d.1768)
