A Roman translucent glass jug
2nd-3rd Century A.D.
With spherical body, short cylindrical neck and thick folded horizontal rim, with wide applied strap handle attached at the rim and shoulder, some iridescence; and a pale green flask, the conical body on wide concave base, tapering to a cylindrical neck and flaring mouth, the body decorated with moulded diagonal swirling ribbing, a turquoise trail applied under the rim and a finer trail at base of neck, with applied vertical handles, one handle restored, 4th-5th Century A.D.
