A Dutch-engraved armorial baluster goblet
The goblet circa 1720, the engraving circa 1765
The bucket bowl with everted rim engraved with a coat-of-arms (three flowers issuing from wave ornament, a sheep below) within a scroll and strap cartouche, the reverse with a formal garden with two swans in a rectangular pool flanked by clipped hedges and yew trees, garden statuary and with a balustrade in the foreground and sailing-boat on a canal in the distance, the stem with a wide angular knop enclosing a tear and basal knop, on a folded conical foot
