A pair of Meissen models of monkeys Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks at back
Modelled by J.J. Kändler and naturally coloured with streaked brown and black fur, one to the right holding a white apron of seed-pods and chained with a gilt chain to a tree-stump, the other to the left with a young monkey at her side and with a white apron of fruit, holding two fruits in her extended hand, before a tree, both on circular mound bases applied with coloured flowers and foliage (the second with restoration to extended arm and top of tree, both with minor chipping to flowers and foliage)
