A pair of Meissen models of wolves
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks at back, one indistinct
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, seated on their haunches to left and right with brown markings to their heads, backs, haunches and tips of their tails, their mouths agape revealing their teeth, one with a piece of meat under his right paw, on mound bases applied with flowers and foliage (one restored through base, across back, through both front legs and ears, hairline crack to back, the other with crack through back near tail and chips to two claws, both with fangs chipped and chips to flowers and foliage)
