At the top of the ferman is an impression of the seal of Sultan Kalimullah which has the Qur'anic verse 38:35 inscribed around the main text. Sultan Kalimullah (1526-[?in exile]) was the last of the rulers of the Bahmanid dynasty . This is so far the latest dated document issued by him, thus extending the known length of time he pretended to the throne. At the bottom is the impression of the seal of a nobleman Mir Muhammad with the title of Amir al-Mulk. In the margin are late nineteenth century endorsements from a court of justice accepting the document as genuine.
