A PAIR OF ITALIAN ORMOLU AND WHITE MARBLE CANDLESTICKS
Late 18th Early 19th Century
Each with a composite Ionic column supporting a fluted urn with upspringing foliage and beaded drip-pan flanked by a putto, one holding a star, the other a flaming torch, on a circular stepped base with lappeted band and bun feet, restorations to the columns, later fitted for electricity, with white pleated-silk shades, lacking two hanging beads on the capital of one candlestick
