2° (430 x 290mm). Half-title, 42 aquatint and line-engraved plates, by M. Dubourg and others, 26 hand coloured, 16-page catalogue bound at front. (Some leaves slightly spotted and soiled.) Modern maroon half morocco, spine gilt, uncut. Provenance: G. Webster (stamp on half-title). Abbey Life 33; Berlin Kat OS 2344n.
Robert Lugar practised in London in the early 19th century. His published works concentrated on picturesque lodges, using castellated Gothic popular in this period. In 1812 he became county surveyor of Essex.
