With twin glazed doors and glazed angled sides above lower cabinet, the whole carved with typically formalised detailing, the top with two shaped shelves supported on outswept members finely carved with floral details, the reverse with traces of paper label for Maison Baile 14 Avenue Dumaine Paris

Lot Essay

The attribution of this piece to Hector Guimard has been confirmed by Alain Blondel and the lot is accompanied by a certificate to this effect dated June 1990.
This piece will be included in the catalogue raisonné of Guimard's work currently in preparation by Alain Blondel.
