Inlaid overall with boxwood and ebonised lines, the divided hinged rectangular top with a central octagonal panel with tulipwood crossbanding and ebonised border enclosing a green baize-lined writing-surface, wells, pen-tray and hinged box above a cedar-lined frieze drawer, inscribed in pencil to the inside 'NO N9/', on square tapering legs headed by rectangular panels, and square feet
