A fine 16-bore d.b. Prussian Dreyse patent needle-fire sporting gun

With rebrowned twist barrels signed in gold gothic letters between flowers and foliage inlaid in silver and gold, rebrowned chambers inlaid with silver and gold en suite, the barrels pivoting to the left for loading, the action cocked by the chiselled silver- and gold-inlaid underlever decorated with gold-encrusted vignettes of animals of the chase, finely figured walnut half-stock, the grip carved with an intricate pattern of vines against a matted ground, cheek-piece, case-hardened iron mounts including fore-end cap chiselled in low relief with vines and flowerheads against a matted ground, horn-tipped trigger-guard with pierced tang (chipped), and iron sling swivels
