A related pier-table, with similar auricular supports and pierced eagle apron, but painted black, was acquired in Holland by the Duchess of Lauderdale for Ham House in 1672. This table, which was en suite with a pair of torchères and a looking-glass, appears in the 1677 inventory of the Duke of Lauderdale's dressing room (P. Thornton, The Furnishing and Decoration of Ham House, Furniture History Society Journal, XVI (1980), pp. 50-51, fig. 58).
