The silvered dial signed and numbered Brockbank's & Atkins. LONDON 893, Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds dial (at VI), blued steel hands, small size movement (58 mm. diam.), top-plate inscribed Brockbank's & Atkins ONE-DAY, LONDON and on the balance cock No. 893, Earnshaw escapement, three-armed cut bimetallic balance with large underslung cylindrical heat compensation weights and with brass cap and securing screw to their top, blued steel helical balance spring, Brockbank adjustable spring detent with jewelled locking stone and depthing screw at outer end, brass bowl with hinged bezel (hinge at XII) and securing screw (at VI), later bezel with convex glass, bolt action locking arm, later plain three-tier calamander wood box, the centre section with inset bone disc inscribed 893, external drop handles
