According to Joachim Pissarro this drawing relates closely to a portrait of a Flemish maid of whom the Artist executed two portraits in 1896 (L. Rodo-Pissarro and L. Venturi, Camille Pissarro, Paris, 1939, no. 94304).
To be included in the forthcoming Camille Pissarro catalogue raisonné of drawings currently being prepared by Joachim Pissarro and Christopher Lloyd.
