Lot Essay

This work which bears the inscription 'Vestibule 35 au 37' on the reverse was, in the early 1900s, hanging in the corridor adjoining the flats of Paul Durand-Ruel (35 rue de Rome) and his son Joseph (37 rue de Rome).
