Lot Essay

During the 1940s Dali executed a series of surrealist advertisements for the Bryan Hosiery company. These appeared monthly as full page colour illustrations in Harpers Bazaar. Bryan Hoisery was one of the leading brands in nylon stockings at the time.

Sold with a photo-certificate from Robert Descharnes dated Paris, le 4 janvier 1995 stating that this work is recorded in his archives under no. D-2678/1057.
