A MEISSEN COMPOSITE PART DINNER-SERVICE
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords marks, various incised marks and Pressnummern
Painted with bouquets including tulips, iris, lilies and roses and scattered flower-sprays within ozier-moulded borders and gilt and brown line rims, comprising:

An oval tureen, cover and stand with branch handles, flower terminals and cut lemon finial, chips to footrim of tureen, chip to stalk finial and flower terminals,
Two circular two-handled tureens and covers with branch handles with flower terminals and pink rose finials, one with part of stem of finial lacking, minute chips to finials and flowers, one terminal leaf lacking,
Six circular dishes, one with two restored rim chips, one with one restored rim chip, one with slight rim chip, two with slight footrim chip, 15 in. (38 cm.) diam.,
Two circular dishes, one with slight rim chip, 11¾ in. (29.7 cm.) diam.,
Eight circular dishes, two with slight footrim chips, one with restored rim chip and footrim chip, 10¼ in. (26 cm.) diam.,
Two shaped rectangular dishes, one with rim chip, 16½ in. (42 cm.) and 16 in. (41.5 cm.) wide,
Four shaped rectangular dishes, one with restored rim chip, about 11½ in. (29 cm.) wide,
Two C-scroll sauceboats with scroll handles, one with handle restuck and minute footrim chip,
Twenty soup-plates, two with slight rim chips, one with restored rim chip,
Twenty-five dinner-plates, fifteen with slight rim chips, one with restored rim chip and chip,
Four dinner-plates with brown line rims, three with rim chips,
Two oval salts with brown line rims,
Three Samson dinner-plates, two with rim chips; all pieces with some rubbing to gilding (85)
