Probably France, late 19th Century
The buff field with an overall design of stylised floral panels issuing pairs of confronted polychrome boteh divided by similar smaller stylised boteh roundels, in a charcoal-black border of scrolling leaf and cone motifs, between sandy-yellow stylised flowerhead and lozenge stripes, plain outer stripes, areas of slight colour run
7 ft. 2 in. x 7 ft. 1 in. (218 cm. x 215 cm.)
