The arms are those of Van Schoonhoven, of Leyden and Rotterdam, and Cremers, of Groningen. See J. B. Rietstap, op.cit., vol.II, p.726. The border decoration is taken from Viennese Du Paquier porcelain. Compare with a plate with these arms in the Royal Museums of Art and History, Brussels, included in the 1989/90 Exhibition, Catalogue, no.99, pp.250 and 251; and another illustrated by J.R.T. Leite, op.cit., cat.50, p.216.
