View of St. John's Church, Lawnmarket, Edinburgh

St. John's Church, Lawnmarket, was designed by James Gillespie Graham in conjunction with A.W.N. Pugin and was built between 1842 and 1844. The ruined houses lie around the site of the Tolbooth, one of the gates into the old city.
