A still life of a basket with a pineapple, a gourde, black grapes, redcurrants, plums, peaches and cherries

We are grateful to Craig Englund for dating this watercolour to circa 1835. The watercolour can be compared to a still life of a basket with pineapples, a gourd, grapes, peaches, strawberries, cherries, redcurrants and hazlenuts measuring 8 x 13 in. (see the catalogue for Sotheby's London, 20 May 1985, lot 382).
