Lot Essay

William Hudleston of Millom Castle, Cumberland, was born on 31 January 1698/9 and married Gertrude, daughter of Sir William Meredith, Bt. on 1 July 1725. He died on 2 April 1745 leaving two daughters, the eldest of whom, Elizabeth, married Sir Hedworth Williamson, 5th Bt. in June 1748.
