Of flat oval form with concave center outer edge, the rim with two shango axes, zig-zags representing lightning, tassels and the face of Eshu in the center, 13½in. (34.3cm.) long

Lot Essay

A label on the back written by Robert F. Thompson states his belief that the board was made by a Pobe school carver between 1865-75. He states that the oscillating outline is rare and unusual. He also describes the iconography.
