The hinged rectangular thumbmolded slant-lid opening to a fitted interior with a recessed section centering a shell-carved short drawer above a short drawer flanked by turned pilaster document drawers, further flanked by three valanced pigeonholes over two short drawers all above three short drawers, all over a reverse-serpentine case fitted with four graduated long drawers above a molded base centering a a fan-carved drop, on short cabriole legs with shaped knee returns and ball-and-claw feet, signed in chalk under case p..../1792, branded on bottom of central drawer case interior I.S., appears to retain original brasses
