FIRST EDITION of The Grapes of Wrath, translated by Hernan Guerra Canevaro, printed on cheap paper, PRESENTAION COPY, inscribed by Steinbeck in Spanish on front free endpaper [translated here]: "For Natalya with all the blessings, Your faithful servant, John who loves you." The recipient, Natalya "Tal" Lovejoy, was a good and life-long friend of Steinbeck's, dating from his Pacific Grove days in the 1920s. See Goldstone & Payne D538 for a much later Chilean edition.
