A WELL-CARVED WHITE JADE VASE AND COVER

Of well-hollowed pear shape and oval section, the sides carved in low relief with pairs of phoenix confronted on bound ruyi motifs, within raised borders, the ruyi band at the mouth rim interrupted by a ruyi-headed loop suspending a loose ring set opposite the scrolled handle rising from a trefoil terminus, with a band of scroll-filled blades separated by trefoil shoots encircling the lower body above bands of angular scroll on the foot, the domed cover with a similar band below a loop finial carved as a bat suspending loose rings, the translucent stone well polished and of pale greenish-white tone
