A SMALL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL QUATREFOIL VASE
JINGTAI CAST FOUR-CHARACTER MARK, FIRST HALF 18TH CENTURY

Each lobe of the body decorated with a taotie mask bordered by ruyi heads above and petal lappets below, with a band of overlapping leaves on the flared neck and a lappet band on the spreading foot, fitted with a cylindrical insert with quatrefoil collar, the mark cast on a textured ground within a square, small area of restoration; together with a cloisonné enamel bottle vase, first half 19th century, the globular body decorated with four circular medallions of flowers reserved on a ground of clouds and bats below a ruyi band, with further bats and clouds on the neck between ruyi and leaf-tip borders
