The first of three cases inlaid with same (rayskin) and lacquered in gold with a monkey, crab on its back and peaches, the interior cases black lacquer applied with nashiji, and fitted with a kagamibuta netsuke with pierced ivory bowl carved with auspicious objects and with soft metal plate and with a coral bead ojime; the second of four lobed cases decorated in two-color gold takamaki-e with large snowflakes reserved on a togidashi ground of clouds and lightning bolts, the interior cases nashiji, fitted with an ivory netsuke and bead ojime--2 1/8 and 3 1/8in.
