The rectangular inro decorated in takamaki-e in silver and gold with the figures of fighting samurai reserved on a togidashi ground of waves and a shoreline embellished with hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, kirigane, hirame and silver, the interior cases fundame fitted with a large ivory netsuke carved in the form of a sparrow, smaller birds and a hobby horse and with a gold lacquer bead ojime--3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) high
