The molded double-domed cornice flanked by later silvered urn finials over a pair of arched mirror-inset doors opening to an elaborately fitted architectural interior with pigeonholes, open shelves and small drawers and a pair of document slides with silvered Corinthian capitals over a pair of candleslides, the slant lid enclosing a similarly fitted interior with a well, over two short and two long drawers on bracket feet, decorated overall with Chinese figures, exotic birds and flowers in extensive landscapes, decoration restored
