A VICTORIAN SILVER TEA KETTLE, STAND AND LAMP, Sheffield, 1895,
maker's mark JR in oval, all with finely frosted finish, the swirling
slightly concave fluted globular kettle, with one side chased with coiling bold lush foliate scrolls, the other with vacant asymmetrical vacant cartouche enclosed by bold scrolls, conforming foliage and trelliswork, with partly decorated scroll spout, the everted elliptical collar with beaded rim, with fixed handle, the twice chained stand raised on four molded S scroll supports on shell feet, with grotesque mask chased apron between grotesque mask--14in. (35.5cm.) high, gross weight 41oz.
