Each with cartouche-shaped padded back upholstered in grey cut velvet with foliate-carved cresting above padded arms and seat on cabriole legs ending in scroll-carved toes, regilt (6)

A similar set of six beechwood fauteuils by Lebas was sold Sotheby's New York, 21 May 1988, lot 147, and a chaise en cabriolet by Lebas with similar floral-carved ornament and sinuous frame is illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Le Mobilier Français du XVIIIe Siècle, 1989, p. 489.
