Antoine Louis Barye (French, 1796-1875)

After Barye's death in 1875, the editorial rights for Cheval Percheron (which was listed by Barye as a new work in his catalogue of 1855) were purchased by Thiébaut, along with one other modèle, in the Vente Barye at the Hotel Drouot.
