A PAIR OF CONTINENTAL SILVER COMPOTES AND A PAIR OF MATCHING SALTS, maker's mark apparently that of J. Kurz & Co., Hanau, late 19th/early 20th century, each formed as a gilt lined stylized open shell on four stylized dolphin supports on raised oval base chased with whorling seas--6¾in. (17.1cm.) high, the conforming salts on single dolphin support--4½in. (11.4cm.) high, together with a set of six metal smaller, similar, examples--1¾in. (4.4cm.) high, the silver 40.5oz. (10)
