A SILVER SIX PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Durgin, circa 1900, comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee pot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each inverted pear shaped with double lobed corners, monogrammed, raised on four foliate headed tapering supports, with everted wavy collar applied with ruffled foliate scroll and rocaille band, the pots with elaborate foliate scroll handle and spout, the hinged molded domed cover topped by foliate cluster finial, the kettle on molded oval stand, base underside engraved 1875 Oct 19 - 1900--kettle on stand over fixed handle 14in. (35.5cm.) high, gross weight 164oz. (6)
