A RARE HUANGHUALI WAISTED DAYBED, TA
LATE 16TH/EARLY 17TH CENTURY

The soft-mat seat enclosed by the rectangular frame with 'ice-plate' edge above a straight waist supported on sturdy, beaded cabriole legs terminating in cloud-form feet and joined by a curvilinear apron carved with delicate lingzhi-shaped clouds and trailing cloud scrolls at the shoulders
