The mottled amber and russet stone carved to depict a seated bird with long neck, the head facing forward, with small beak, elegant crest and lightly incised eyes and beak, the plump diamond-shaped body with circular plugs beneath each wing in front of the tail, with a circular ring at the base of the neck for suspension
