Painted in dark brown on a cream slip with three feathery foliate sprays, under a clear glaze stopping short on the body to expose the gradated slip and the fine-grained buff body, the mouth rim wiped clean, interior also painted with areas of cream slip and brown under a clear glaze, footrim chips
