Pineapples

This work, executed circa 1880, is a fine example of the few extant works by Frederick Batcheller. In American Still Life Painting, W.H. Gerdts and R. Burke write of Batcheller's rare paintings "they are extremely sensitive works...they are rather delicate pictures of flower and fruit." (p. 180)
