The arched hood with three vase-shaped finials and pierced foliate scroll panel above a similarly carved frieze, the glazed door flanked by columnar uprights, lenticle to trunk door, on a plinth, inlaid allover with floral marquetry, the 12in. square dial with silvered chapter ringed and well sculpted blued steel hands, the matted center with ring winding holes, subsidiary seconds ring and decorated calendar aperture, the massive five ringed pillar movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on four bells with hour strike on a further bell, marquetry re-laid or possibly reveneered
