The dial within a gilt-brass foliate engraved mask with outer white enamel Arabic seconds ring with counterpoised blued steel hand, eccentric Roman hour and minute chapter disc with blued moon hands and inscribed Aubert & Klaftenberger, Geneve, the sunken center with visible Brocot escapement with jewelled paletts, the calendar ring below inscribed Patent and with concentric month ring with inner ring giving equation time indicated to by a blued steel hand with sunburst pointer, the center with penny moon phase and subsidiary rings for day of week and date, the twin barrel movement within rectangular plates with back-pinned pillars, gridiron pendulum and strike on bell on backplate stamped Aubert et Klaftenberger, Genève. 1677, connecting work from the main movement to the calendar dial below, the case with simple molded white marble top, bevelled glazed sides, front and rear door and on molded white marble base
