The glazed case with breakarch top with stiff leaf and egg-and-dart cornices, with lanceolate leaf and fluted columns to the angles, on rising rectangular base with stiff leaf and berry gallery, the white enamel Roman dial inscribed à Paris with pierced gilt-metal criss-cross and arrow hands, blued steel pointers, the outside calendar ring with numerals within individual gilt-painted lozenges joined by green translucent enamel jewelling, with dial maker's signature Dubui for Dubuisson below VI, the pinwheel escapement mounted on the backplate with fine adjustment to the crutch-piece to the knife-edge suspended gridiron pendulum, with countwheel strike on bell
