The case modelled as a chariot with half-draped Venus at the reins, drawn on nimbi by doves, a cherub seated on the prow and another to the fore lighting the way with a flaming torch, another standing beside the goddess, the rectangular base with beaded border mounts and recessed panels within a trailing lanceolate leaf frame, each cast in relief with scenes of garlanded amorini, on hairy paw feet, the Royal blue enamel chapter ring modelled as a wheel with spokes to the skeletonized center, the individual Roman numerals painted on white reserves within a jewelled border, signed Millot Paris, with gilt-metal arrow hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension countwheel strike on bell
