The gilt-brass break arch dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, the matted center with subsidiary seconds and calendar aperture signed on a rectangular silvered plaque Claudius du Chesne, London, female mask-and-foliate spandrels, dolphin spandrels in the arch flanking the silvered strike/silent ring, the five pillar movement with rack strike on bell and anchor escapement, the case with three giltwood finials to the caddy top with foliate pierced wood soundfrets to the arch supported on brass-capped ¾-columns, the boxwood and ebony line-inlaid door with brass escutcheon, similar inlay to the restored double-footed plinth
