A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LONGCASE REGULATOR

The 12in. diam. circular silvered regulator dial with blued steel hands, signed in the center Charles Frodsham, No. 84 Strand, London. Clock Maker to the Queen. 1347 and engraved with the Royal warrants and 1855 Exhibition gold medal of honor, the movement with robust arched brass plates secured with six pillars, the wheel train with six crossings and Harrison's maintaining power, deadbeat escapement with Vulliamy-type jewelled palletts, fine adjustment to the crutchpiece for the steel rod pendulum spring suspended from a brass-bracket on the backboard and having a massive steel-cased pendulum with calibrated rating, the case with stop-chamfered angle columns flanking the glazed rectangular trunk door, the plinth with rectangular fielded panel and with simple skirted base
