The first modelled as a craftsman carving a mask of Okame, details etched and stained dark, signed on the back Tomochika within a wavy-lined oval cartouche near the himotoshi; the second carved as Hotei reclining and holding a fan, observing two karako playing with a lion mask, signed Gyokko and with kakihan on the base near the himotoshi--1 3/8 and 1 1/8in. (3.5 and 2.9cm.) high (2)
